There are many takeaways from all that happened in 2020. However, if nothing else, it should’ve made you realize the economy’s fragility. Even if you didn’t lose your job or see a significant hit to your investments, you should still be paying attention. There’s no telling when disaster could strike.

The fact that you’re reading our article tells us you care about your finances. You know you need to act wisely to secure a hopeful future.

However, you’re likely starting to have some misgivings about the dollar. Its loss of value over time is beginning to look like a real liability. Could precious metals be the solution?

It turns out you don’t have to be some kind of prospector or wealth-hoarder to benefit from gold or silver. You can figure that out when you learn about companies like Goldcore.

What is Goldcore, and what can it do for you? Is this a legitimate business or a well-designed scam?

We made this guide to help you learn about all of the most important information. Let's jump in.

Our Overall Rating

3.5/5

First Glance

Who is GoldCore Ireland?

This company started in 2003 and has the full title of “Goldcore Ireland.” They’re the very first Irish gold broker. However, their business isn’t limited to Ireland. They also have an Goldcore UK office and clients from over 130 additional countries.

Their client list is over 7,500, and they handle more than $260 million of assets. They offer both savings for individuals as well as plans for trusts, financial specialists, and others.

They also have great storage available for gold bullion. However, you can also get the bullion delivered to you.

While they are a viable company to consider purchasing your precious metals from, something they don't seem to offer are precious metal IRA's.

So keep in mind, if you are a US citizen looking for US based company who offers IRA's, then this company won't be able to help you.

If you are looking for precious metals IRAs, then a highly rated, reputable company to check out is Goldco.

What Do They Offer?

After examining the Goldcore, it seems this is what they have available:

  1. Gold bars
  2. Gold coins
  3. Gold bullion
  4. Silver bars
  5. Silver coins
  6. Silver bullion

They also have multiple places to store your precious metals. Although other brokers have platinum and palladium products, Goldcore sticks with gold and silver. If you are interested in these other metals, this company might not be the right choice for you.

GoldCore Reviews and Ratings

Since Goldcore is an Irish company, you can’t find them on the Better Business Bureau. However, another review site, TrustPilot, has them at a 3.7 rating, with 5 being a perfect score. However, this score comes from a single review. It’s not much of an aggregate score.

This single review was posted in April 2020, which means it’s still pretty relevant.

Ekomi.co.uk has them at a score of 4.8 stars, again with a five-star score. Even better is that they have more than 2,000 reviews of the company.

Your impression of Goldcore might change depending on where you live. For instance, if you're in the U.K., it can seem amazing. However, you might need to dig deeper if you’re from the United States.

Are there any red flags?

The one concern I could see having is their lack of ratings on different sites. They have amazing reception, as seen on Ekomi.co.uk, but not much comes up for other review sites.

Someone who hasn’t read this review might look up Goldcore on the BBB or TrustPilot sites and decided not to work with them based on the lack of reviews.

That shouldn’t put you off of this business completely. However, it’s definitely good to know about these sorts of things.

Things We Like

1. User Friendly Website - No one likes a website that is hard to navigate and looks unprofessional. Their website is very well put together and they make it easy to find what you're looking for.

2. Multiple Storage Locations - Where to store your metals might not be the first question on your mind, but it's important to know that you can store your metals in multiple places to diversify your risk.

3. Easy to find 'spot" prices - Many companies make it difficult to find the current spot price of gold and silver. GoldCore shows the prices right on their website.

Things We Don't Like

1. Lack of Products for US citizens - You can purchase precious metals from them but they don't offer IRA's which most Americans want, so it's best to find a company that does both in the US.

2. Only Gold and Silver - These two precious metals are the most popular, but many people like to invest in other metals that this company just doesn't offer.

3. One Source for Most Reviews -
This company has thousands of really positive reviews in the UK, but hardly any in the USA. This can be concerning for some people because they may feel like they don't understand the US and it's complexities.

4. Mostly High Net Worth Clients and Investors - While they do serve all types of clients, most of them fall within the high earner or institutional investor category, which is concerning for "the little guy/gal". Most of their focus seems to go into customer service for their biggest clients.

Is GoldCore Legit or A Scam?

With those cons listed, it would be fair to ask if Goldcore is a scam. It would also be fair to answer that it is completely legitimate.

Sure, it might have a few drawbacks, such as not having a wide range of precious metals or not having offices in North America. However, businesses cannot be all things to all people. Goldcore has been around for nearly 20 years through honesty and excellence.

You can quickly gain trust in this firm by seeing how easy they are to reach and how uniformly strong their reviews are.

However, don’t just sign up with Goldcore because it has good qualities. You need to make sure it’s actually a good fit for you.

Once concern for USA citizens is they don't offer IRAs. While unfortunate, it's understandable due to their location in the UK. This is the main reason why we give this company a 3.5 out of 5 stars instead of a 4.5 stars.

If you need an IRA, you should seek out a USA company.

Which Alternative Is Best for USA Citizens?

If you are an American who wants to both purchase precious metals in an IRA, there are companies that offer both who are based in the United States.

Goldco is the highest rated gold company in the USA and are great for portfolio diversification, furthering your metal investments, and forming an excellent precious metals IRA.

They have IRAs for gold and silver and their own attractive storage. More about Goldco in the video below.

Final Verdict

There isn’t one precious metals firm without flaws. If anyone or any business is telling you that they don’t have any problems, they’re probably not being honest with you.

However, you can find a precious metals firm where their strengths outweigh their weaknesses.

For people living in the U.K., Goldcore is a great way to get started with purchasing and storing precious metals.

However, Goldco is the most reputable and trusted company for USA citizens. You can
